Paralyzed

"You do not know how paralyzing that staring at a blank canvas is; it says to the painter, You can't do anything."

- Vincent Van Gogh, Letter #378 (to his brother Theo), October 1884

Someone said that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. I guess they are trying to make you think that you should not look at the end, in the beginning and enjoy the process of what ever trip your on, be it mental and/or physical. When I feel stuck I say to myself "Do what you want to do, dont think of the outcome." I would admit that anger and fear is a driving motivation for me, but, maybe because they are emotions that make me persist forward? Once I begin the painting the reasons for it mutate, and I go with it.

A blank canvas says "…it's time to paint" each stroke gets easier.
